DAY 1 / settling in, context setting

  • ARRIVAL in CHIANGMAI
  • Introduction to home stay
  • Community farm and plantation visit

All meals provided.

 

DAY 2 / from farm to table

  • Sunrise cycling
  • Explore the community farm and eat fruits freshly plucked off from the trees
  • Travel to another village community
  • Trekking at a waterfall
    (difficulty level: moderate- generally mild terrain with some steep inclines)
  • Have a stunning coffee break overlooking a village in the valley
  • Cook with your host family

All meals provided.

 

DAY 3 / ENVIRONMENT & COMMUNITY

  • Visit a Farmers' Garden 
  • Take part in a workshop to utilise natural resources to create your own crafts
  • Cook delicious, locally-sourced food with the community!
  • Spend time with your host family, and celebrate indigenous culture through a cultural show over dinner

All meals provided.

 

DAY 4 / environment & community

  • Learn from the villagers how to make a traditional local snack
  • Be inspired by a local social entrepreneur and taste coffee made from locally-grown beans that have been awarded internationally for their quality
  • Free and easy shopping time at the night market!

Breakfast, lunch and coffee are provided.

 

DAY 5 / food for futures

  • Attend culinary school and learn to whip up tantalising and appetizing Thai dishes!
  • Visit an Artists' Village and soak up the laid-back atmosphere - chill out with a cuppa or interact with the craftmakers, or even take part in a workshop!

  • Enjoy a traditional Khantoke dinner
  • Stroll along the famous Saturday night walking market and bag some local steals

DAY 6 / celebrating lanna

  • Try your hand at a traditional Lanna handicraft activity
  • Whet your tastebuds with Khao Soi, a spicy curry egg noodle dish Chiangmai is well-known for
  • Goodbye Chiangmai!
