CULTIVATing & building capacity for empathy

AT SKILLSEED, we believe that empathy is at the heart of any service rendered, and it is imperative that we learn how to interact appropriately and sensitively with multiple stakeholders to appreciate the knowledge, skills and diversity that they possess. Empathy Exercises are a series of workshops that aim to boost interpersonal and intrapersonal effectiveness in communicating with others, especially with community partners and beneficiaries.

For 2018, we have developed a series of Empathy Exercises centered around identity, intergenerational inequality, and privilege.

Each 3-hour workshop also includes a facilitated post-activity reflection session- sessions that draw upon our years of experience facilitating service and volunteer projects in Singapore and beyond.
