WHAT GOES ON IN THE SILICON VALLEY?

Why is Silicon Valley famous for its tech and start-up scene? What is a social enterprise and how can students use business and/or technology as a force for social good?
Participants will find out all of this and more through an immersive experiential learning course that allows them to get up, close and personal with tech giants (including Google and Facebook), start-ups, venture capitalists, incubators and renown social enterprises all in the heart of Silicon Valley, San Francisco.
In addition, participants will also enjoy guided tours of famous universities such as Stanford University and UC Berkeley, engagements with college students over dinners and a recreational tour of some of San Francisco’s most famous attractions.

Fees typically include the following:

Your investment in our courses also enables Skillseed to further our social mission by empowering the local community through employment or job creation. It also goes towards course development (we do intensive consultations with key organisations and conduct project site visits!) and provides opportunities for course alumni to further develop their skills and passions with us or our partner organisations.
THIS COURSE IS FOR STUDENTS INTERESTED IN SOCIAL ISSUES AND SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
Participants should be at least 15 years of age, healthy, and able to speak and converse fluently in English.
They cannot have any severe allergies or strict vegan diet requirements.
They should not require any prescription medicine that requires constant refrigeration.
