Responsibilities

You will…

  • Oversee end-to-end financial operations - including day-to-day expense management, full-set accounting (GL, AR/AP), grant reporting, budgeting, cash-flow forecasting and compliance with Singapore regulations, while maintaining accurate records and liaising with external accountants and auditors. 

  • Secondarily, administer HR operations from recruitment and onboarding through payroll, CPF submissions and benefits coordination, as well as design and facilitate talent-development workshops and refine HR policies and SOPs.

  • Rounding out the role, you’ll provide administrative support to the Managing Director and manage office coordination to keep our team focused and productive.

More specifically, you will be working on…

📊 Finance & Accounting (60%)

  • Execute day-to-day financial operations: company expenses, reimbursements & invoice payments

  • Maintain full-set accounts: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and audit schedules

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly financial reports and grant-claim submissions to funding agencies

  • Support annual budget planning; track performance against organizational goals

  • Ensure compliance with Singapore financial regulations and tax filings; liaise with external accountants and auditors for audits and submissions

  • Assist in cash-flow management and financial forecasting

  • Record all transactions accurately per IFRS and internal SOPs

👥  Human Resources & Talent Development (30%)

  • Administer end-to-end HR operations: advertising roles, recruitment, onboarding and intern management

  • Support the planning and execution of human capital development events, workshops and well-being initiatives

  • Coordinate employee benefits, payroll and CPF submissions with external service providers, as needed

  • Ensure compliance with Singapore labour laws and Skillseed’s HR policies

  • Enhance HR SOPs (performance appraisals, incentives, compensation & benefits)

  • Process HR-related grants (e.g., childcare leave)

🏢 Admin & Office Support (10%) 

  • Provide administrative support to the Managing Director

  • Oversee office upkeep; coordinate with suppliers, contractors and service providers

  • Organize meetings, maintain records and prepare ad-hoc management reports

  • Perform any other duties as required by the management team

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

You

  1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, HR, Business Administration or equivalent

  2. Have 2–4  years experience in a hybrid finance/HR role (social sector or startup experience a plus)

  3. Are proficient in IFRS and accounting software (Xero preferred) Bonus: IHRP certification (but not required)

  4. Are current with local HR and Accounting laws and regulations

  5. Possess good written and verbal communication skills in English

  6. Can navigate Google’s suite of products like Gmail, GSheets and GDocs

  7. (Good to have but not essential) are comfortable with collaborative tools like Slack and Notion
