About
Citizen Library™

At Skillseed, we believe that every citizen is a treasure trove of knowledge, perspectives and ideas - pretty much like a book! And we believe in the power of communities with diverse groups of people.

Our Citizen Library thus aims to connect everyday Singaporeans, or Citizen Books, with others (the Readers) who are interested to hear our stories and perspectives on different topics of interest.

We envision a Library that transcends space, bridges time and includes every segment of society. And with the amalgamation of enriching ideas and backgrounds in our Citizen Library, we hope to form a tapestry of colourful stories and opinions that will help steer the social impact projects of our time.

FAQs

Testimonials

I was able to expect what was needed to be done during the facilitation. Having experienced doing the guided trails and being able to understand the various types of participants that one can usually meet gave me the skills and confidence to facilitate. Shaphyna was extremely helpful and understanding, and she worked well with me to start the conversation with the students. Most of the students were also enthusiastic and eager to learn, and I was able to elaborate on their conversations.

Zohra was a grounded and powerful open book. And the students in our group were also very caring, empathetic, authentic, and forthcoming. The quality in-depth questions kept flowing. And I was also able to draw from my experience having a chronic condition to further deepen the question about how to be a good friend vs how to be a good ally to people with disabilities. It was an amazing experience!
