About Education for Empowerment Programme
In partnership with BEAM Education Foundation
Gain a deeper understanding of the migrant and ethic minority communities’ situation in northern Thailand. Witness the different lived experiences of the youth in Chiang Mai, and conduct workshops to share the skills and knowledge gained from your own education system with the BEAM students.

Immerse yourself in the rich culture of Chiang Mai as you interact with local communities, explore traditions, and build connections that transcend borders

What to expect
Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand
Duration: 7 days
No. of pax: Minimum 10 participants
Suitable for those who:
Are at least 15 years old and in good health
Are fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Are committed to engaging in pre-trip preparation five weeks before the journey and post-trip sales (if applicable)
Possess unique skill sets that fit with the needs of the community
Have no strict dietary requirements or allergies
Do not require prescription medication that needs refrigeration

Where your money goes
Empowering local communities
More than 50% of your course fees goes towards the employment of your local guides and experts.
Supporting environmental advocacy
Approximately 10% of your fees supports our NGO partner's educational efforts in North-West Bali towards local ecology, waste management, and field trips to observe the impacts on coral reefs.
Developing future courses and journeys
Your investment allows Skillseed to maintain and create meaningful journeys, while providing opportunities for past participants to work with Skillseed or our partner organisations.
