“It is not the magnitude of our actions but the sincerity behind them that makes a difference”

Camy has been a resident of Ang Mo Kio for the past two decades and is a passionate multidisciplinary artist with a strong belief in community spirit. He uses art as a medium to bring people together and has worked with APSN Chaoyang School to run art workshops for students with special needs. Drawing inspiration from fellow residents, Camy designs murals that reflect local life and identity, and his artistic talent has been recognised through mural commissions around the Yio Chu Kang neighbourhood. Today, he continues to create unique opportunities to nurture the kampong spirit in Ang Mo Kio, such as integrating puppets and mascots into storytelling sessions to foster the children’s love for reading. He also runs crochet workshops and regularly gives back to the community by providing free haircuts to elderly residents.
