Roslan is a hardworking and passionate individual residing in Yishun since 2010. A husband and father to 5 children, his family motivates him to push on and work hard to support his community.
He currently works as a Grab delivery driver, navigating Yishun’s streets with an expert familiarity gained from years of experience. Roslan delivers using his PMA (Personal Mobility Aid) after suffering from a serious knee injury. To Roslan, doing Grab deliveries is not just a means of supporting himself and his family, but also a form of bringing joy to customers.
Roslan has observed over time that there is a real need to engage youths in his neighbourhood meaningfully and hence tapped on his love for sports to start various sports activities in the community. Roslan also uses these as opportunities to instill important values of discipline, responsibility and perseverance among the youths.
Besides working with youths, Roslan volunteers with KakiHealth at the Yishun Family Service @ Children's Society (YFC) to organise activities relating to healthy living. He enjoys bonding with his children and getting to know other families through these activities.
In his free time, Roslan is also an artist, with art being a passion he picked up in his childhood. His artistic skills have also led him to new opportunities, such as being invited to do henna at a cousin’s wedding. For Roslan, art is more than just a hobby; it is a form of expression and a way to find peace. His dream is to one day open a shop where he can share his artwork with others and sell other art supplies.
