A Neighbourhood Is More Than What You See
What You Will Do
Community Guides share their lived experiences of the places they call home. As an RVF, you help participants listen to those stories, question their assumptions and recognise the community’s strengths alongside its challenges.
How Will You Learn
Is This Role For You
What You Will Gain
Your neighbourhood: You live in Ang Mo Kio or Yishun.
Communication: You’re comfortable communicating in English. Training, shadowing and practice will help you grow confident guiding group conversations.
On the trail: Trails last up to three hours and involve walking and standing. A short seated break can be arranged if you need one.
Availability: Trails usually take place on weekdays, with occasional weekend sessions. They may run a few times a month, and you choose those that fit your schedule.
Your contribution: This is an unpaid volunteer role alongside paid Community Guides. By co-leading, you support trails that provide dignified, home-oriented paid work for neighbours. Skillseed’s paid facilitator roles are separate.
